From page 69:Visit Temple Mathews's website.I was bombarded with fast, ugly images from his brain. He was a sick and twisted man, he crowded thoughts a whirlwind of repulsive memories. I saw Mick's face. Mowrer was remembering how he killed Mick by hitting him the head with a pipe wrench--it was so horrible, playing in slow motion in the sicko's brain...Any reader would be compelled to read on if she looked at page 69. It fully encompasses the various elements and themes submerged in the book, and it's a ghostly moment when Echo is able to enter the body and mind of a killer.
