"Doing Harm"

Kelly Parsons is a board-certified urologist with degrees from Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins, and he is on the faculty at the University of California San Diego. He lives with his family in Southern California.

Parsons applied the Page 69 Test to Doing Harm, his first novel, and reported the following:
I’m happy to report that Doing Harm does in fact pass the Page 69 test!

Page 69 captures the beginning of a pivotal scene in the narrative: an otherwise routine surgery that goes horribly, horribly wrong. The outcome of that surgery initiates a completely unexpected chain of events that carries the protagonist—and the reader along with him—on a wild ride in which murder, blackmail, and deception figure prominently.
